CRN India is built and run by Neera Jain, who has been operating the crnindia.com domain for more than 20 years. She has spent those years as an analyst covering Indian equity markets, and used to regularly appear on various TV channels including CNBC, NDTV Profit and Zee Business.
In the earlier years, CRN India provided equity advisory services. That work has since been discontinued — she is no longer registered with SEBI and does not provide investment advisory services of any kind through this site or elsewhere.
The knowledge and data-orientation built up during those two decades is now directed toward a different purpose: independent research and education focused specifically on small cap mutual funds in India. Small cap is a distinct category with its own risk, return, and volatility characteristics, and CRN India exists as a dedicated resource for investors who want to understand it in depth.
CRN India tracks small cap mutual funds using AMFI-published portfolio data, updated monthly. The site does not recommend specific funds to buy or sell. It helps investors understand what small cap funds actually hold, how they have changed over time, and how the category as a whole behaves through different market cycles.
